Toast-R-Oven 4-Slice Toaster Oven Broiler
We bought this toaster about two months ago, after much research. Our old one was a simple, I've never really wanted a "convection" toaster, but I decided to give it a chance because I thought it would save energy when baking. It actually makes a very quick job that much more effective than the regular oven, we used previously. I used the chicken only once so far and it works well. Toast-R-Oven 4-Slice Toaster Oven Broiler

Black & Decker CTO4500S 6-Slice CounterTop Convection Oven with Pizza Bump, Stainless Steel
Like most reviewers, I have had many toaster ovens over the years. I usually do not have time to review, but thought I had some unique insight into this model.
The good: It looks beautiful and fits my stainless steel kitchen. The quartz heating tubes to throw a lot of infrared light, and B & D's Infra-Wave product. Heater guards do a good job of keeping food, but still let light shine through. I like the funky metal arms to pull out the drawer. Yes, they look silly, but they pull out the drawer when it is hot, do not prevent you from taking it and pulling it out completely, and they work in all situations. I've tried all the food program, and it does a good job.
The bad: Basically, no new toaster ovens matches they used to be, and I guess this is due to liability issues, and price pressure. My previous toaster had a temperature sensor in toaster mode, while this one uses only time. Toaster fashion in this model is just the oven to 450 with convection fan. The toast comes out well, but you do not have the fine level of control that the older the temperature sensor wheel had, so that you can not just go away and come back when it dings. In addition, heats the toaster only to 450 degrees, while my ex went to 500, and I could trick them to get even hotter for the steaks (press the Toast button in the oven mode). This is probably due to the nonstick coating of the cavity, which is only good to 450 My old furnace was self-clean interior, good for 800 + degrees.
A tone - some reviewers complained that the convection fan is not activated in the bowl situation. Toaster fashion and fashion is the same, so just use the oven set to 450 if you want the fan on when roasting.
So my conclusion? This is a keeper. Food comes out great in all positions. The huge amount of infrared light thrown by the quartz tube in such a small gleaming oven provides great Browning, burning taste. Ultimately this is about food and the food comes out very tasty in this little gem.
We bought this toaster about two months ago, after much research. Our old one was a simple, inexpensive one from Sunbeam, which lasted about ten years until the lever for the toast.
I've never really wanted a "convection" toaster, but I decided to give it a chance because I thought it would save energy when baking. It actually makes a very quick job that much more effective than the regular oven, we used previously.
I used the chicken only once so far and it works well.
Toast is very good: crispy on the outside and moist on the inside (but it depends on taste). One gripe is with buds that are difficult to obtain. The design of the grip is particularly annoying for hours because it just kind of image to the desired time, there is no way to just select the position, want a good stereo button. We have not really found the best place on the timer for the perfect toast, I have to rely on visual clues, and often just take the bowl before the timer rings.
The tray is easy to clean and slip out easily.
The hooks on the door hinge that allows racks to slide out making it difficult to close the door completely - we decided to put us in and not use them, so that the door closes properly.
Be careful when you buy this record, prices vary greatly from place to place, and you may be paying too much.
* PS: after 15 months with this toaster, we decided to buy a simple toaster to toast and use the B & D as a small oven for other dishes. The bread toaster is faster and results more reliable. As an oven, makes the B & D a good job.
Black & Decker CTO6301 Digital Advantage Stainless-Steel 6-Slice Convection Toaster Oven
After my horrible experiences with Black & Decker 4-Slice TRO700S Toast-R-oven, stainless steel, I swore that I would not buy another Black & Decker toaster oven. But when I checked out several toaster ovens at Bed Bath & Beyond, low and behold it was precisely this model. Compared to other models around, had this one the best combination of features and size for the price. Krups convection felt cheaply made, eligible for the prize. The second oven I thought a kitchen oven Aid convection, was very well made and looked good, except that it has a convection feature, and features were badly exposed. I wanted to check out the Sanyo SK-VF7S digital convection oven, stainless steel, which has been getting good reviews, but unfortunately, this store does not carry it. So I decided to take a chance on the "fool me thrice, shame on me." At least I could take it back to the local store if it did not work.
Black & Decker oven is much better made than TRO700S. It is also slightly larger and has more solid sense of control. There are also digital, so you do not have an annoying ticking sound while cooking. It also seems more robust than the Sanyo, which can deliver more value for money.
The Good:. Excellent design, versatile disk systems, non-stick interior, decent little guards over the heating elements, large capacity (it will also accommodate a 12 "pizza), wide viewing area with cooking, there are a lot of nice features, including" bagel "- . lower heats half peak temperature, so it does not crisp the bottom of the bagel too much (NICE) The exterior does not get hot, like most toaster ovens, and even worse with a brushed steel finish, but the right side (where the convection fan is located) tend not to get scalding hot working chef position well, even if they do not have jobs convection feature, and even toasting function takes a long time to work .. it's brown bread evenly.
It is not so good: The digital controls are confusing and take some time to figure out. The instructions are OK, not great - but you definitely need to read them. The screen does not have a watch that you would normally find in digital devices, but this is OK - when you realize it. The unit will beep at you when you select a cooking function, and it is quite high. The convection feature works only in the BAKE mode, do not cook - I found this strange and disappointing. When you use it, there's no countdown indication of roasting progress (as opposed to the timed cooking / baking), and you just have to trust that it will end at the right time. Finally, this product is designed more like an oven than a toaster - a simple toast takes about 50% longer to toast than in a conventional toaster. But the solution is to move the shelf to the top position and then just turn the bowl when it is browned on one side. Only a small disadvantage. In addition, there is no backlight for the LCD, so if you're cooking at night in low light is a bit hard to see screen details.
Overall I give this unit a thumbs up ... for now. I hope that because I did not find any initial defects, it should work well in the future. It's not a perfect oven, but it seems no company out there who cares about that perfect convection / toaster oven. Sometimes I think I should go into the product design, as I see so many mistakes that can easily be avoided. Anyway, you will not go wrong getting this oven. :-)
NOTE: I highly recommend to see a toaster in person before buying it. This way you can get a feel for how it looks, feels and acts. It is practical experience you just can not get online. You can also save more to buy it myself (I paid $ 67 with tax at BB & B with a 20% discount coupon). But if you can not get to a store that has the equipment you're interested in, then you have to trust what you see on the web. I hope my review helps you in your decision.
Black & Decker CTO7100B Toast-R-Oven Digital Rotisserie Convection Oven
This B & D oven makes excellent rotisserie meats and is a major step in value over a traditional toaster oven, with one major drawback: it's a very mediocre toaster. In fairness, the package Nowhere this product says "toaster" - it is simply described as a convection rotisserie oven. But if you're considering an upgrade over a standard toaster oven, as I was, you hope, probably the best of all worlds: rotisserie, convection oven and toaster. It nails the first two, but is only acceptable in the third.
Rotisserie: It takes a few tries to get a sense of timing, but once you do, you really excellent chef and restaurant-grade rotisserie chicken. The Rotisserie is juice circulates inside, so that the meat from drying out as when you bake it in the usual way. Some have noted that it is not really big enough for the chicken and it may be a squeeze. But if you tie the legs with kitchen string (which you should do anyway, to prevent burning), you can cook a 4-1/2 to 5 pounds birds, and anything less is easy (manual suggests that a 3-1 / 2 limit, but you can push it a bit). Pork and beef steaks are ridiculously simple - just stick it through with spears and put them in - and absolutely delicious. I am amazed at those who say that the rotisserie is not worth it, because for me it's the best thing about this device. Good to upgrade over a non-rotisserie oven.
Convection oven: If you are not interested in the rotisserie, you can get a good non-rotisserie convection oven for $ 30 - $ 40 less. There is still $ 30 - $ 40 more than an ordinary toaster oven, but it's worth it. An ordinary toaster is really not for baking. It is good for heating or melting cheese on anything, but that's all. A good oven as this can be used for everything you do in a conventional oven. Lasagna (in an 9x9 pan), breads, pizzas (up to 12-inches), desserts, etc. - all these can happen here because the stove regulates the temperature reliably. In addition, the smaller size and the convection fan (which circulates air to regulate temperature and velocity cooking a little) less energy. Why use a big oven to cook a small bowl? Preheating is faster cooking time is shorter, and the food is just as good. The broiler works well.
Toaster: Again, not B & D does not promote this as a toaster, but it has a toaster setting. It toasts very evenly (no worse than an ordinary toaster oven in front), but the larger size of the kiln (compared to a toaster), means that it takes a long time, and toasted bread tends to dry out. You can play with the settings a bit, and if you place the rack near the heating element, it turns out good, but expect that it will take a few minutes longer than an ordinary toaster or toaster oven. This may also mean that you give something of the energy you save by using it as an oven.
Two other disadvantages to be aware of: (1) it takes a lot of cabinet space, as there are a couple of inches wider, deeper and taller than most toaster ovens, and (2) the glass on the front is double layer, and thus becomes very hot - be careful if you use it with small children around.
Besides this, it is a solid product. After six months of use, I am glad I bought it, and I'm really happy to have another way to cook good meat for the winter months when it's too cold to grill.
Black & Decker TRO490B 1200-Watt 4-Slice Countertop Oven and Broiler with Removable Crumb Tray
I use the toaster oven to toast bagels in particular, and for this "task", do a good job. I can recommend this product because I feel that it is good value for the price. Here is my overall advantages and disadvantages:
Advantages:
The first performance - the approximate height of the inside of the bottom rack position = 3 "width = 11" and depth = 8 to 8.5 "(depending on whether the use top or bottom rack position)
The second two rack positions for easy location of the heater
3rd easy to use crumb tray that slides out like a drawer from the front for easy cleaning
4th timer works for all settings, including toast
5th baking tray included
6th temperatures marked in Celsius and Fahrenheit
7th great manual
Cons:
1st Do not turn off when the door is open
2nd Dial markings are medium gray to black and small, I have to put my reading glasses to see them (my toaster has a black body as shown)
Third timer is stiff and difficult to turn back toward zero for the toast - need my glasses to do this properly
4th Apart from the contact, the only thing that controls whether the device is on or off the timer, which has a stay at the position - fire hazard. This more than any other reason why I rated only the third
Comments and suggestions:
The first three-prong plug
2nd Leave unplugged when not in use
Third pure tad / drip tray after each use
I bought this because it was the same price as a Wal-Mart Christmas Black Friday business .... thanks for Amazon Prime, I got it in the mail two days after ordering at no extra cost. It can hold four bagels or average slices of bread without squeezing them in and slam the door. It's nice for a family of six ....
One thing I do not care for is the stupid toast the wheel, I would not use the oven works just as much as the toast function. Our previous B & D toaster was just a push button, the disc actually sounds annoying and instructs you to do it all over dark toast, then back to your desired level should be. Whatever .... oh, by the way, if you leave the stupid toaster unplugged (do not ask, we do not have plenty of stores where it is located), the timer will still run. Imagine my surprise when the timer dinged and my bagel was still white. DOH!
All in all, it is a great value, a toaster, so much we bought another as a gift to a family member. Yes ....
Black & Decker TRO480BS Toast-R-Oven 4-Slice Toaster Oven
I Rate this toaster oven 5 stars, not because it is the biggest, best toaster oven out there, but because of the price it is a great mid-size countertop oven, it is very attractive, it has a good basic functions with ease rings and toasts evenly and have a good sized interior. Amazon should make themselves and offer free shipping. I actually got mine from a department store a week at a cheaper price (loss leader probably).
That other post with a star was a bit bizarre, to get the wrong rack? Maybe he got a return or something, but these are well packed. Some features that I like about this is the wire shelf is reversible, no surprise there, but was a way, it has a cord lip, to the accompanying tray can slide on the attachment, which helps during baking to catch any overflow drops. So your roasting pan can sit on top of the rail. I would also pull out crumb tray front, easy to clean and put al. foil. The sides have small hooks that network can slide in and pull out the rack a bit when you open the oven makes it easy to grab your toast. The front handle is screwed in, all very safe. Cord is shorter than most, but I think this is a plus. Most people place the oven just a plug anyway, and too long a leash in their way. It is long enough to pull the stove out on the front of the counter Tho, if you are clean behind, etc.
Black & Decker did a good with this model.
Perfect as a second oven, or an energy efficient alternative to turning on full-size oven, this countertop appliance a large capacity with a curved design that can fit a 9-inch pizza or toast up to four slices of bread at once. Use it to toast, bake, broil, and keep food warm until ready to serve. The user-friendly control panel has three buttons. The top button adjusts the temperature to 450 degrees F, select the middle button function and the lower button can set the timer up to 30 minutes, or select continuous "on" and choosing the shade option when toasting bread or bagels. The unit also has a quartz heater, 1200 watts to ensure fast, professional results, plus a dual-position rack for extra versatility. Other highlights include an "on" indicator, a translucent glass door to monitor cooking progress, a practical bake and toast signal bell, and a slide-out crumb tray for quick cleanup. A baking pan is included. With its elegant design, stay-cool handle and stable base, oven toaster meters approximately 12-2/5 by 18-8/9 by 15 inches.
